Katherine Gockel is a program officer in the Policy Analysis and Dialogue department. Gockel focuses on Middle East policy and leads the department's policy outreach efforts. She holds an M.A. in global studies from the University of Denver (DU) where she focused on human security and economic development. While at DU, she cofounded the Denver Chapter of Women in International Security and consulted with the Center for Teaching International Relations.
Gockel began her career in the business sector where she held positions in international training, marketing, sales, and consulting with companies such as AT&T, Lucent, Leopard Communications, and Ernst & Young Consulting. She also has an M.B.A. in marketing and a B.A. in communications.
