Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, who also served as America's UN ambassador in the mid-1990s, believes the United Nations, while in need of reform, remains "very important and very useful." But a critic from the Heritage Foundation thinks the United Nations is an organization "in tremendous decline" that might be inviting serious backlash if it is seen as anti-American or impeding the goals of US national security.
