Iowa Student Global Leadership ConferenceThe Iowa Student Global Leadership Conference brings together an equal number of Iowa students and foreign exchange students from across Iowa. Held each winter in Des Moines, the conference is cosponsored by the Stanley Foundation and the Iowa Council for International Understanding and the respective exchange agencies. Conference participants have the opportunity to establish friendships and engage in meaningful dialogue with others of diverse backgrounds. This conference is a forum for Iowa high school students and foreign exchange students to share their perspectives on world affairs and work together to develop strategies to address problems of a global nature in their own communities.
