The Stanley Foundation is a private operating foundation working toward a secure peace with freedom and justice. The foundation pursues this mission through diverse programs that are intended to provoke thought and encourage dialogue on international relations and world affairs.
The Stanley Foundation has a longstanding history of working on issues involving Asia. The recently completed Emerging From Conflict program was aimed at normalizing or improving bilateral relations with countries including North Korea, China, and Vietnam.
